HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

My 2017

2017 arrived and left so quickly.

I want to start off by thanking god for the best and worst year of my life.

A lot happened for me in 2017, from GCSE's to weddings.

It started out great with a lot of happiness but slowly went downhill for me and my family. But I would never complain because all of these situations I’ve been in have made me a better person. They have made me see the world differently and have made me a different person on the inside.

At the start of the year it was one wedding after another. In total there has been 4.

Along side these weddings i did my GCSE's. But sadness always follows happiness, it’s bound to happen. I’m the summer my granddad passed away due to cancer. He had been diagnosed in late September 2016 and we were told he only had 6 months to live. However, He put up a long fight and lived for an extra 5 months. Straight after his death was another wedding and since then things have slowly gotten worse.

God has blessed all with another year so there’s no point in dwelling on things that have happened.

I believe everything happens for a reason and everything that has happened this year is preparation for what’s to come. Therefore, i want to share with you my new year's resolutions for 2018.

New Years resolutions -

I’m the type of person that makes New Years resolutions but rarely sticks to them, but this year I’m determined.

I’ve decided to have 6 resolutions and I want to share them with you all.

1. Drink more water: this is a resolution of mine every year and I never seem to stick to it (surprise surprise).

2. Get better at doing makeup ~ it would be such a big achievement for me to become a good makeup artist and I’m going to try and make it happen!

3. Stick to blogging and blog regularly - i’ve been wanting to do something like this for a while and have several Instagram blog accounts, now I’ve made the really thing I really want to be doing this for a long time

4. Drink less fizzy drinks - I don’t drink a lot of fizzy drinks but when I start I can’t stop, so I’ve decided In the new year I’m gonna give up fizzy drinks

5. Read more - I want to read at least one new book per month and re read old books less

And last but not least

6. Be a happier person- first I have to start focusing on me and cutting out people in my life who aren’t worth my time. Those who really want to be by my side like true friends will come. I’ve been let down by too many people who I have always put first, they’ve always found someone more important then me. Now it’s time I find people who treat me as the most important person. I need to always remind myself that being selfish is okay and that my happiness does matter!
